Default How to Lengthen Title Field

I find in all the submission forms it's only so many characters, how can I increase that, as some article and subitem titles are quite long.

By the way i do know how to add characters and spaces in the titles, however, there are other factors involved, such as in email, and editor account name, the length is cut and various others...so I gave up on it, but it would be a nice feature

LorenGK, for you - always
Don't understand your question. To limit title length for subitem/articles simply change "maxlength" attribute in corresponding *.tpl file.

Hi Sergey

Having a problem lengthening title field in order for longer titles to be added.

I spent ages finding the corresponding .tpl files and increasing them. No change.

I then increased the admin title fields in vain hope that would have an effect, that did increase the title field within admin, which was handy, but it still does not increase the actual title from 40 characters...what am I missing? or Should i say pleeeeeeeese tell me how i can increase the title imput field so it registers in the database and shows on front end.

Cheers flower
