disable rating

is it possible to disable the rating feature?

Welcome to our support forums. Do you want to disable it everywhere in the script or just for articles?
Please explain and we will advise how to do this

I do not want my articles to be rated and i dont want the stars to be shown.

You can edit file templates/Default/view-article.tpl and remove lines #142-147

This was exactly what i wanted.

Now, what lines should i remove to remove the article author box( the whole two colored box)?

Its easy, open file templates/Default/view-article.tpl, you needs lines #80-92
