Default Banners plugin

We have released plugin for banners manage.
If several banners assigned to one position, they will be displays random. In admin panel you can view how many times banner showed. For image banners, you can view how many times it was clicked.

Great.

It should also have Active/Approval feature in it, Sergey

OK, Sergey. Also make please Type, Position, Status fields editable from banners management page. It'd be very useful

Updated to version 1.1. Now you can change position and status from 'Manage Banners' page.

This post is to give detailed explanation how the plugin works.

There are four positions you can place banners: top, left right and bottom. All banners placed in one position are shown in rotation by default. Note if your template does not have some of these positions your banner will not be displayed there as well as any other module.

Types of banners:
Local image: if you choose this option you need to download banner from your computer and give URL where it will lead.
Remote image: this option allows to add URL of the banner which exists somewhere on the net.
Flash: this option allows to download flash image from your computer.
HTML or JS: allows to add ready html code of the banner. Usually this code is provided by site advertiser.

Option 'Alternative Text' allows to show text in case if pictures are disabled in users browser.

'Start Date' and 'Expiration Date' - manually set period of banners duration easily allows to manage commercial banners for example.
