News plugin is very easy to manage. All news are added manually form the admin panel. To change the position of news module you need to go to section 'Manage blocks' find block 'news' and edit.

to change configuration of the plugin go to section 'Configuration', choose inlay 'Miscellaneous' - 'News configuration'.
Here you can enable/disable news functionality, set Number of displayed News in Box, set max number of characters for snippet and set the order by date or alphabetically.
