Need your advice.. Page URLs mod_rewrite

Hi all,
I have the following idea for our next version. Now we have Manage Pages functionality and it means you can create additional pages directly in admin panel. They will have the following url:
example: page name - about

pabout.html

I'm thinking of changing mod_rewrite rule to have a different url in our case it would be:
pages/about.html

this will be more logical and get rid us from letter 'p'

Please let me know your thoughts and if you like the idea

xooArticles, this is done in earlier version of script...
You can create page with extension .html and your own specified name. Look at "Manage Pages" in admin CP.

Ya mod rewrite will be better

Use 301 redirect for that

Coz by this link juice from old URL to new will also pass without any loss 

& I would like to recommend Web Design and Development NJ for any designing related issue 
