Articles not appearing on server

Hi, I just installed the free version of the articles script for testing and I have a problem.

The system doesn't appear to be creating the category folders and article files on the server. I created new categories and a few test articles. The links and teaser copy appear on the home page, but when I click on the link to view the full article I get a 404 File not found error. The link was pointed to newsletter/articles/featured/article-title.htm, but there was no "articles" directory on the server. I created an "articles" directory, gave it chmod 777 and tried to create a new category and article and that didn't work either.

I attempted to install the articles package on another server a couple months ago, but I stopped working on it because of this same problem.

What am I doing wrong?

All articles/categories stored in MySQL database, not as files in file system so you should not create any additional directories. Does your server has Apache module mod_rewrite?
