Upgrade instructions from 1.0.04/1.1.RC to xooArticles 1.1

Greetings,
In this post I will explain how to upgrade your current version to xooArticles 1.1 final version.

Upgrade instructions from 1.0.04 version to xooArticles 1.1

1. Make a full backup of your current version (DB, files)
2. Upload 1.1 files to the same directory where you have xooArticles 1.0.04 installed. Overwrite the files
3. Run installation script and install the version into the same database. Use different prefix for tables
4. After installation is completed login to your admin panel and Click Upgrade from 1.0.04 link in your common menu. Input your old version prefix.
5. Upgrade should be successfully completed.

Upgrade instructions from 1.1.RC version to xooArticles 1.1

1. Make a full backup of your current version (DB, files)
2. Upload 1.1 files to the same directory where you have xooArticles 1.1.RC installed. Overwrite all files except includes/config.inc.php
3. Login to your admin panel and go to manage database. Click Import
4. Choose upgrade file and click Go.
5. Upgrade should be successfully completed.

You should not have any problems with this upgrade. Anyway, if you have any problems please contact us.

Hello

I Have made some changes in script. Like i have replaced word article to lyrics. How do i upgrade to newer version? Do I have to replace article to lyrics again or it will upgrade automatically?

Which version did you have before? If it's 1.1RC you still have the same phrases. No language files affected. If you had 1.0.04 then you would need to make changes again.

When I am using old prefix v11_ I am getting this error:

Error: Table 'music_lyrics.v11_account_photos' doesn't exist
INSERT IGNORE `v21_account_photos` SELECT * FROM `v11_account_photos`

Please suggest me, what went wrong?

Well deny my last post sir. It is fixed. Now I would like to know how can i edit .. word article to lyrics because it is a lyrics site basically.

Now, change words very handy. Go to admin panel->Language Manager -> Edit / Translate English phrases. Click button 'Search in Phrases' to find all words 'article'. After search, you will see list of phrases. In this list, click on phrase 'Value', change word and save phrase.

Which search should i perform from below:

1) Phrase Text
2) Phrase Variable Name
3) Phrase Text and Phrase Variable Name

You need default search, by 'Phrase text'.
