Hi,
It has been suggested that eSyndicat may be a better directory script than Subrion. Can some one tell me which is the better script and why it is? I have asked support the same question after an email from support suggested that it may be. Quote:
(an answer from support would be nice but I'm a realist) |

Hi,
If you are looking for just a directory script then esyndiCat is your best solution as there has been on going development since 2005. Subrion is starting to become more active and offers a great CMS with package options and we are hoping that the directory side will quickly catch up to eSyndiCat very quickly, however lacks some features at this stage. I guess the real question comes down to what your site want to do, read the eSyndicat forum along with is one and you can also play around with the demos. Directory Script, Free Directory Software, PHP Directory Script, Business Directory Software :: eSyndiCat Directory Software, Directory Script, Business Directory Software, Link Bid Script eSyndiCat User Forums - Powered by vBulletin Hope that helps. |

I was first looking at eSyndicate then support sent me a message saying Subrion is a better article script, I am now confused! I prefer the look of eSyndicate, but not all the plugins are free, I am on a budget and I just don't know which to go for now. Also why only 6 months support? It should at least be 12 Months if not life time! I want to create a directory similar to ezine articles. Come on guys, sell to me why I should buy your product, and which one?
![]() Also the front page demo user name and pass word don't work. This is not filling me with confidence! Last edited by markransome; 2 Weeks Ago at 07:14 AM. Reason: Want add something. |

Just made new account on demo site. Ok.
Logged in to submit a test article. When I tried to upload a picture in the article creater it froze! Is this a bug or not a full working demo. I am not confident about this software and if this is not working properly is esyndicate? I will have to have a look.

I use eSyndicat for my directory at 411 Home Repair Directory: DIY Home Improvement Business Directory
and Subrion for articles on the same site Home :: Home Owners Guide to DIY Home Improvement eSyndicat is a far superior solution since it retains email address and has a lovely cron to check for link remain back to the site. |
