Totally confused

I have spent hours pouring through information on:-
Esyndicat Directory Software and
Subrion Web directory.

I want to ad a directory to my site - a directory for information and source of services available both on the web and local to my visitors. It is for personal services and information relating to hair, health and beauty, fitness and diet and so on.

I get the feeling that Subrion will eventually be a step above esyndicat in its offerings - but not at present? If so when will this take place?

I note the charge for Subrion is higher than Esyndicat, but it appears that Esyndicat has more to offer -- as you can see I am very confused about which one I should be looking at.

I am definitely after a directory that I can modify to mirror my site with header, footer and so on - but having said that to be done easily.

I have had some experience with another directory software that had no manual and very little assistance and knowledge base.

Could someone help me with the differences and what I should be looking at for now and for the future as my site and directory grows.

Subrion is a step above eSyndiCat because the ability to expand further with an Article Package as well as the Directory Package.

Therefore, if you use Subrion Directory, you can add in the Subrion Article Package later so your website can be expanding upon easily without modifications to the current design.

That is what is wonderful about Subrion.

When looking at just the Subrion directory verses Esyndicat directory which one has the most features? I've worked with the Esyndicat directory and it is an awesome tool and very flexible.

I have had limited experience with the Subrion because I'm waiting on the new version to come out. However, from what I've used on the test site I currently have the older version on it looks like Subrion directory is weaker in features and flexibility than Esyndicat.

The directory is basically the same thing as eSyndiCat, the only real thing missing is the amount of plugins.

What I would like to see added is the:

1) Google Maps plugin

2) Spider

3) Crawl

4) Top Listings Box
