few short comments

Hi, thanks for the opportunity to test xooarticles.

I only spent a short time with it, so take my comments with a pinch of salt.

1) Category creation is confusing, only my experience with eSyndicat intuitively led me to Browse Articles function

2) In the short time I tested, I didn't get what subitem means nor what is it for

3) I'm not much into article scripts, but thought this could be a very nice flavour of general CMS. Just get rid of the common menu, and let categories be the menu.

Make two versions, one for one editor and another for unlimited number of editors. Also per-site license, and multi-site license.

CMS market is overcrowded, but I would love this one over the others, as it would be simple and have great look.

1. Will be improved. There will be a dropdown with categories
2. Subitem is a really unique item and this is what make our software different. Take a look at the site in our portfolio (dogs are subitems), you can post articles or stories about cars, products, etc. In this case when you post them you are able to attach subitem profile to them. Just think how good for SEO your internal crosslinking will be. It will take rather long to post all advantages of subitems right now. I will make a special post where I will explain what subitems are in details
3. Sure, our software will be great for CMS software as well It will have polls, news, menu management, etc.

Thanks for your idea about versions and license. We will think over your suggested options

I respectfully disagree about the category creation being confusing. Manage categories means just that. Click, and look over the page to see where to add a category .... Oh yes, a folder with a "+" sign... Obvious... Click once, presto there you are...

If any thing, you could ad the words on the little icon "Add Category". That would be sufficient.

Whats understandable to one, may not be as understandable another. But, it is a proven fact that more white space is better for readability. The clean interface is what I like. No clutter.

So far, I am impressed. I do need to have some template changes made though... Is there a way to edit the verbiage? What about changing the template look?

Hi,
As you see it's our first beta version. We will develop and improve it much. In admin panel you can see Manage Language. It's not 100% ready yet as most of our lines are hardcoded. Anyhow, this will be fixed in the nearest patches and versions.

Now in most cases you are required to change tpl files to change verbiage and templates

I see Manage Categories only for Subitems, not for the Articles. It's true that it's easy, but it takes time to discover that article categories are actually being done in Browse Articles and not in Manage Article Categories. (if I understood correctly, there are two kinds of categories, subitem categories, and article categories).

You are right. There are two kind of categories. I also must agree it's quite confusing at first but once you understand how it works it becomes easy to manage them. Anyhow I can promise we will make something that will be some more clear

I suppose you could call one "articles Categories" and the other "Items categories", Or some such thing.
