Auto Scripts "Browse Makes" hover tootip missing

Hello:
In the Auto scripts there is a icon that does not have a tooltip when it is hovered and I cannot tell what it does. Under “Browse Makes” it is at the top right and has a car and star on it. All of the adjacent icons have a hover tooltip, but not this one. What does it do?

Icon with a star means 'Use unique template for category' and icon with a lock means 'Lock category'.

Thank you for the additional info. Is there more that I can read about "using a unique template"? Like how to build and/or customize them?

As far as I know this is not documented yet. When you click on 'unique' icon, you see the file name, e.g. 'index2.tpl'. If you are familiar with Smarty, HTML and CSS you can add index2.tpl file in the template directory and customize view of any category.
