Subrion 2.1 BETA 2 released on 07.07.2011!

It's been several months since I posted here. Now we post all important news in twitter so you can be informed if you follow us on twitter. Our 2.1 version is almost ready and now we are updating our packages and plugins to make them work in 2.1

Core 2.1 has a ton of significant changes in its architecture and some functionality was rewritten from scratch. It's possible you will not notice some changes at all as it was the purpose of our code refactoring - we wanted to keep the same functionality but find better solution for the core structure. Now the core is more flexible and reliable and faster!

Here is the list of the most important changes in our 2.1 version.

#1. Privileges system - now you can configure access to some pages and functions of the script.
#2. Multi level menus - you can build submenus
#3. Usergroups functionality is also rewritten from scratch - you can configure different fields and access for different usergroups. You can also set different configuration for each usergroup.
#4. Hook editor embedded in our core functionality to make debugging and development easier
#5. Sponsored Plans functionality - now you do have the way to accept payments for any item you have in the system.

+ tons of small fixes and improvements.

If you are interested in 2.1 testing please contact us and we will send you the file for testing.

We do ask for your help and the more bugs we find now the better core we will have. We would be glad to donate any product to the first three members who provide the most detailed bug report.

so the new version is under test now, because in member area i only see 2.0.4

I'm happy to announce our 2.1 version is available for download now! You can get it from our downloads area.
Please make sure you try to install correct plugins and packages for it. We have not updated auto classifieds package but the rest three packages are ready.

Mr.Vasily, I' currently have v2.0.3 installed and i want to update to version 2.1 but in member area I don't see a patch file, I see only patches from 2.0.3 to 2.0.4 and older

should I wait till you guys bring the new version patch update ?

another question some plugins have versions 2.1 + 2.0 and some 1.2
all these plugins works for subrion 2.1 or I must only use plugins with 2.1 version ??

Upgrade script is almost ready. Now I am checking it on our demos. Anyway, we will offer free upgrade for our customers who use paid versions.

Only 2.1 version plugins are compatible but all the plugins are under active upgrade development and we release new versions frequently.

Today few more plugins will be released for 2.1 version.

Hi

We will upgrade your website for free. Please submit a ticket and the guys will take care of your request. Right now we don't have upgrade patch, it's more a migrator script. Anyway, we will keep everything on your website as is so upgrade will be transparent.
